"And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt
thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city,
and it shall be told thee what thou must do." Acts 9:6
God gives us step-by-step directions. First, we must seek to
know what He would have us do. Then, if He simply tells us "go and
wait," we must go even if we cannot
see what lies ahead.

Reminds me of the many verses in Psalms about waiting on the Lord. It's not easy, but what great rewards He promises to those that wait for Him! Thanks for sharing, Amanda!
"But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:"
~ 1 Peter 3:14-15
Verse 15 of 1 Peter 3 is a often cited verse, but what stood out to me was how the command to always be ready with an answer was in the context of suffering persecution. Could it be that God uses reproach for Christ's sake as a way to both teach us HOW to give an answer and opens up the opportunity for witnessing to others?
Great thoughts, Amanda, and a lot of times easier said than done (as I'm sure you know :-).
Just wanted to share some verses that are great for pondering on, and for praising the Lord!
Romans 11:33-36
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
"Go and wait"....
*sigh*
yup...... ;) You're batting two for two here, sistah!
