Five Indie Author Books | Five Fall Favorites Day 5

It's a little early for a bonfire, but it's Friday night, which is the perfect night to have a bonfire. Especially if you have a cool October (ours is very... temperamental).

I'm excited about today, because I get to explore books written by Indie Authors. This group has a special place in my heart because all of them I have talked to personally, some of them I'm good friends with, and most of them have reached out and helped me somehow. Yeah, a pretty special group!

Before you meet my friends, though, remember to stop by Rebekah's blog to see other Indie authors (trust me: Indie authors need all of the support you can give them!), also don't forget about the giveaway at the end! :)

Instead of going book by book and explaining things (because I have pretty detailed reviews on all of these), suffice it to say that all of these books are squeaky clean, Christian, and something I'm not ashamed to hand to my younger siblings. Those three things are important to me as a reader. Many authors try to make things interesting by throwing in questionable content. These authors haven't, and I really appreciate them.

I have already mentioned several Indie authors this week (A.M. Heath and Alicia Ruggieri to mention two) that I also know personally and appreciate. These are just five more. ;)

Victoria Minks! And you;)
I've read some short stories by Jessica Wheaton and Faith Potts that I really liked but no full books. I'm in the middle of one of Ivy Rose's books and enjoying it so far, except for a couple of romantic elements. ..I'm not big on that;) but her writing is amazing! Loving it!

I've read three of these. Great list.

If I were to name all of my favorite Indie books, I'm afraid we might be here all day. If not, it would be only because I haven't read all those books that I want to read. :D

Oh, good! Someone shared "The Treasure Hunt"! I couldn't fit it in my list! Oh, and Kelsey's book! So many books! I think I've read all those books. :)

I have both "The Old River Road" and "Treasure Hunt," but haven't read either yet. "Lily of the Valley" sounds intriguing. These all look great!

Ooh, I love The Old River Road and Lily of the Valley! I think I read The Treasure Hunt, too, though I admit I don't remember it super clearly? Family Reunion sounds amazing! :)

I love indie publishing and actually hope and pray to do it in the near future! My top favorite indie published books are "Worth it All: Running the Race of a Lifetime" by Isabella Morganthal (that book is life changing!) and "Not Abandoned" by MacKenzie Morganthal (they're sisters, in case you're curious). Those books are a MUST read! :D

Let's see.... you're one of my favorite indie authors, Kellyn Roth, Victoria Lynn, C.B. Cook.. That's all that comes to mind for the moment, but I know I have more. Anyways great selection of titles! :D

Last day? Wow, that went fast. (Except for the bonus day tomorrow. ;)

I've read Treasure Hunt, The Sparrow Found a House, and the Old River Road. Sparrow was interesting, as was it's sequel (Flight School). Treasure Hunt was cute, and the Old River Road had such a classic feel to it. =)

My favorite indie books/author? Hmmmm. "With Blossoms Gold" by Hayden Wand was very, very good--a non-magical, Christian retelling of Rapunzel, with quite a twist. ;) Ivy Rose's books I've read are good, and Rebekah Morris's. I'm also enjoying what Amanda Tero writes. I can hardly wait to see "Journey of Choice"! (No, I didn't forget which blog I'm on. =P) Deb Brammer's "Broken Windows" has very good characters, not recommended for young readers, but nothing really objectionable that I can remember, and a good solid Christian message. And it's free on Amazon. =)

Thanks for all the recommendations this week!

Wow, Amanda, thank you for including "Family Reunion"! I am so honored. There are so many great Indie-authored books, it's a hard choice, isn't it? :) I've read most of these! I need to read "The Old River Road."

@ Kelsey - my pleasure! :) It is indeed a hard choice! And if it happens again next year, I think "Suit and Suitability" may be on my list. ;)
