Thank you for your verse, Amanda!!

"For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.
Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee."
Isaiah 62:1-5

Have we ever taken a moment to consider how tender the mercies of the Lord are towards His people? Though originally intended for the nation of Israel, we has Believers know we are included in this passage as well. These five verses are bursting with the delight, the joy, the love God has for you and me!! Do I have this same delight in the Lord? Does my joy in Him spill out for all to see in the same measure His does for me?

Thank you for your verses, Kenzi! I smiled as I read the first two, because they are my cousin's verses that he has on his prayer card (he is seeking God's will about where to minister either as a missionary or a support helper).

Very good questions to consider . . . so often, we get too wrapped up and distracted in things of this world that we miss out on the delight, joy, and love that God has for us. It is good to stop and remind ourselves.

Thank you for sharing, Amanda!! Word Wednesday's have been such a blessing to me. :)

"But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul." - Joshua 22:5

Oh, "more love to Thee, O Christ"! May we walk in all His ways, keep His commandments, cleave unto our Savior, and serve Him with all our hearts and souls!!

"I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels." - Isaiah 61:10

Oh, we have much to rejoice in, praise His Name!!!

A little quote from Mrs. Elliot has been going through my head recently: "Help me, my God and King, in all things Thee to see. And what I do in everything, to do it as for Thee." (That may or may not have been worded correctly, but that's the gist of it. :)) So true!

Love you!

Ah, Word Wednesdays have been a blessing to me as well, Patience. I have so enjoyed reading verses from God's Word. As a friend of mine said, every time we place God's Word in front of us, it is benefitting us -- so true.

Thank you for your verses and thoughts! Isaiah 61:10 is so beautiful -- that He has clothed us (who are wicked according to Jeremiah 17:9) with His salvation! Wow; there is just amazing beauty there! Blessed be God!!!

And a good quote to keep before us. It reminds me of Galatians 1:10 (and no, I shan't quote it but send you on a quest to look it up ;)).
