Word Wednesdays #6

"I will freely sacrifice unto Thee: I will praise Thy name,
O Lord; for it is good."
(Psalm 54:6)

"I will praise the Name of God with a song,
and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.
This also shall please the Lord
better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs."
(Psalm 69:30-31)

"I will . . . I will . . . I WILL . . . praise the Lord." The Lord loves and treasures the sacrifice of praise above all other things we can offer. What is holding me back from freely sacrificing to God?

"Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved." Psalm 55:22

Thank you very much for the post, Amanda! Those are wonderful verses; they were a blessing to me. :)

From my Bible reading . . .

"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them." - Ezekiel 36:26-27

And our memorization verse for this week :):

"But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee." - Psalm 5:11

Love you!

Hi Amanda~
Wonderful verses! Thank you for sharing and what a great reminder!!

"But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face...
But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee." Psalm 5:7,8 & 11

The evidence of a heart that is truly trusting in the mercies and guidance of the Lord is joy. If I have no joy then, am I truly trusting God?

Thank you girls so much for sharing your verses! The ones from Psalms, especially, were very encouraging for me to read during this transitional time that God is leading our family. :) Love you all!
