Word Wednesdays #2

These are the things that ye shall do;
Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour;
execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:
And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour;
and love no false oath:
for all these are things that I hate, saith the Lord.
Zechariah 8:16-17

  1. I know I'm a day late, but wanted to share some verses from my Bible reading this morning anyway.

    Isaiah 55:1,6-9,11,12
    "Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
    Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
    Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
    For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
    For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
    So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
    For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands."

  2. Hey Janell!

    Thanks so much for sharing Scripture from your reading!!! Day late or not, I appreciated it. I love those verses -- while it is encouraging, it is also a challenge to continually give things back over into God's hands because He truly knows best! :) Thanks and I pray that your weekend is blessed!

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)
