Last week was busy...as in not-home-all-week busy. But, at the same time, God allowed me to get some random writing time in. Then yesterday: my first day home in a week and I was seriously dragging. However...I wrote two very exciting words yesterday.
That's right. Amidst a crazy busy schedule for the past two months, God has allowed me to make small steps of progress and I have reached the end of draft two for Nat's story! This draft has finished with 74,308 words. I still need to do a final read-through and some tweaking (particularly toward the end) but it's almost ready to hand out to beta-readers! I'm super excited and grateful to the Lord for this progress!! I honestly had begun to think that it would be December before I'd see these two words, but God is good.
What progress are you celebrating this week?
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! So happy for you, Amanda! Praise the Lord!!! Can't wait to see Nat's story out there for the world to see!!
ReplyDeleteYay! Congrats! :) So happy for you!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome, Amanda! Looking forward to reading that one! (and yes, I do realize I never comment ... but ... I had an extra moment today! So I am commenting! :D )
ReplyDeleteWay to go!! God is so faithful and gracious! :D I'm so excited for you! Your post was actually a good reminder to me to keep diligently writing. And before you know it, God is more than able to turn all those bits of work into a "finished" project.
ReplyDeleteWOWWWW!!!! CONGRATULATIONS! That must be so exciting! Isn't it funny how we can be more productive on really busy days, and then when it comes to a day off, we do NOTHING?? That's what it's like for me when we take school breaks. I guess by that point you just don't want to do anything because you already have been doing everything :D So happy for you, though!
ReplyDeleteI haven't made a whole lot of out-of-the-ordinary progress this week, though I did finally finish Laddie which was exciting :)
I'll be praying as you finish things up for this book, and I can't wait to read it!
Woohoo! Good for you, Amanda!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on THE END.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn
That's great!!!! It's always a very exciting moment when you reach The End of a story even if you know you need to read it again and make some changes. :) I'm looking forward to reading it.
ReplyDeleteI got my files back even though they are waiting on an external hard drive until my new computer arrives. :) And I got my final copies of "Dylan's Story!" (Can I say the Grand Prize is now complete? ;) )
@ Olivia - A huge thank-you. :) :) I totally agree with those sentiments. ;)
ReplyDelete@ Ryana - thanks! I'm happy too. :)
@ Kellyn - hey, I'll take a random comment here and there. :) It was lovely to "see" you here!
@ Lauren - thank you -- and amen! :) Aw, I'm always blessed to hear when someone else is encouraged by something God has helped me to do in my life. :) He is so good to give us those minutes we need!
@ Jewels - *hugs* Yes indeed!! Bravo on finishing Laddie. :)
@ Tarissa - thanks so much! <3
@ Marilyn - thank you!! :)
@ Rebekah - Yes, exactly!!! I'm SO happy to hear that you were able to get your files retrieved! Been praying with you there. :)
Thank you all for your lovely comments. :) It blesses me beyond measure to have you all excited with me! <3 <3 <3
Oh fun!!! I CAN'T WAIT for Nat!!!! I'm sooooo sooooo sooooo excited!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think a different series would be less confusing, if it's going to be a trilogy. But I think you should keep Journey of Choice. ;) If I can give an option. It seems so full of. . . choices. And that's what it is, to us! ;) Anyways, that's just my private opinion. . .

I actually do have another title, but I think you're gonna love it. ;) Don't worry, "Choice" is still completely in the title. :D
