ReplyDeleteFavourite Fairy Tale would probably be Beauty and the Beast because I love the message. As for favourite fairytale retellings...The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest by Melanie Dickerson is amazing, and Waltz in the Waves by Sarah Holman is beautiful too!
I read in Psalms 145 this morning and the verses 8-9 really impacted me, reminding me that our Lord is GOOD in ALL things. <3

How exciting, Amanda! =) A verse that has been on my heart recently has been Jeremiah 29:13 but really most of the whole chapter...it's so thought-provoking. =)

ReplyDeleteI don't really have a favorite fairy book story, but I did read a Christian reselling of Cinderella, which was good. I can't remember who the author is though.
Something cool I have been thinking about a verse in Pslams, which I can't remember off the top of my head, but it talks about remembering the works of the Lord. It's really neat to take time to remember all God has done in our lives and brought us through. :)

@ Melanie - I haven't read that one by Dickerson yet. :) She definitely seems to be THE Christian author for retellings though! :) Aw, I'm glad you like my covers. :) I have fun with them.

My favorite Fairy Tale is "Cinderella". The verse that helped me is "The Lord Is My Shepherd There Is Nothing I Shall Want".

As I was reading the Secret Slipper to my girls, I thought of how important it is in all our doings... even when there is little time... to make the time to seek God's will... make praying a priority. "Seek Him with all thy heart & with all thy soul... &... be obedient to His voice." Deut. 4:29-30
Oh! So exciting! I wish I could've participated in the tour, but I'm glad I chose to use my time wisely! I entered the giveaway! I love every fairytale but...I think my favorite one is...Cinderella. :)
ReplyDeleteA verse God has used recently for me is Philippians 4:8; "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things."
I have been trying to use my time wisely and do what needs to be done first before I do what I want to do. That verse has really helped me do that. :)
