Welcome to day two of our "Five Fall Favorites" party! Grab a blanket, get all cozy, as we discuss romance and historical reads. Don't forget -- I like to hear which books are your favorites in these genres too, so be sure to comment!
5 Favorite Romance Books
This one is probably the hardest genre for me, as I am not exactly sure what classifies as "romance." If you've followed my review for any length of time, you probably noticed that I usually say something like, "It was great, but the romance..." ;) So, I suppose I'm going to choose five books that I liked that have romance in them. They may or may not be classified as "romance" though.
5 Historical Fiction
Historical fiction is by far my favorite genre to read (and, actually, most of the books that I read...). So here goes! (I'm limited to only five...)
5 Other Blogs
Want to read more favorites? Click on the images to hop over to these blogs and see what they have to share (also remember that one of these bloggers is having a giveaway -- if you remember from yesterday, it's the book room ;)).
Be sure to stop by Rebekah's blog for the big giveaway!! It ends Friday night (note: giveaway includes an "idea jar" as well as paperback copies of the featured books).
Thanks for the offer of a blanket. I'll take one and curl up with a stack of books. Can I borrow your Top 5 for Historical Fiction to look through? :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Amanda! I already listed my favorites, so I won't do it again.
I love A Dream Not Imagined!!
ReplyDeleteLove the Hymns of the west series :D thanks for all the book recommendations :D
ReplyDeleteThese look like some good recommendations! =)
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of Tracie Peterson, but my mom has, so that's one more book I will be adding to my To-Read list! ;) I don't believe I've heard of any of your listed books. Woe is me! :P
ReplyDeleteCutePolarBear
I love historical fiction! One series I really enjoyed that mixed historical fiction with romance really well was the Edge of Freedom series by Elizabeth Ludwig.
ReplyDeleteOhh....these books look amazing! And yes, historical fiction is one of my favourite genres too! :D
ReplyDeleteI really want to read "A Dream Not Imagined." I adore the covers of "The Lost Heiress" and "The Sound of Diamonds." I'll have to add those to my list. :)
ReplyDelete"Wings of a Dream", "Season of the Heart", and "A Dream not Imagined" are all amazing!! "Where can I Flee" sounds really good. I'll have to check it out! :)
ReplyDeleteOf this list, I believe I've only read "A Dream Not Imagined", which was super sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteI am picky about my romance reading too...I tend to like romance books, but only a select few. ^.^
Hi Amanda! I really like the fall favorites you and the other bloggers are doing. I love seeing which books are your favorites.
ReplyDeleteI have only read one out of the books you listed, A Drwam Not Imagined, but I've wanted to read Lily of the Valley and Playing the Part.
Have a good and godly day!
Love in Christ,
Ashley
