Today I have more of a thought than an article to share. This week, as I was teaching, I became a little overwhelmed with something that I think is completely amazing:
Do you teach anything? If so, what do you find most rewarding about it?
Thank you for stopping by! I pray that you have found something that encourages you today. Thank you for taking the time to give me a little comment - they always brighten my day. :) I usually stop by and reply to as many comments as I can, but sometimes it takes me a week or so. But if you asked a question, be sure to check back!
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)
Oh yes, it is amazing to see how someone picks up piano! I've taught some piano, although I haven't had lessons for awhile. I always balked at the thought of teaching and then when my sister left I took over some of her piano students. Definitely a great learning process and worthwhile in the end!
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm not much of a teacher, but lately God has been changing that here a little and there a little. :) Awhile back, I started helping Melody with her schoolwork and her favorite topic is learning to read. I can't express what I feel when she sounds out a new word and then looks at me with pure delight shining in her big brown eyes. What you said here is the best way I know how to describe the joy of opening up a brand new world to someone!!!
ReplyDelete@ Olivia - there definitely is a need for godly piano teachers. :) That's neat how you get to teach even though you're not necessarily pursuing it seriously.
ReplyDelete@ Kenzi - Mom doesn't let anyone else teach her kids how to read. ;) She, like me, is a teacher at heart, and loves taking them from reading nothing to sentences. :) That's so neat that you got to help Melody!
