Word Wednesday #44

He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (1 John 5:12)

Today we like to say, "You haven't lived until you've done (or tried) _______." Of course, that is just a saying. But the truth is: we have not lived until we have accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Savior.

  1. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
    Philippians 4:13

This is a verse that the Lord has been bringing to my mind this week. I know it's a verse that is commonly quoted and known, but the Lord has been teaching it to me at a whole new level recently. Even when we feel weak or don't feel like doing my tasks diligently, the Lord will help me if I acknowledge Him and ask for His help.

  2. @ Janell,

Amen! Even though oft-quoted, how much we need to meditate upon it and truly embrace it! What I've been pondering this week is that God can even change my heart - if I don't feel like TRYING to do things when I KNOW He can give me strength, all I have to do is ask Him and He'll help me even in that area. :)

Thank you for stopping by! I pray that you have found something that encourages you today. Thank you for taking the time to give me a little comment - they always brighten my day. :) I usually stop by and reply to as many comments as I can, but sometimes it takes me a week or so. But if you asked a question, be sure to check back!

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)
