Thanks for sharing, Amanda! Amen!! "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us." :)
"Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee." ~ 128:1-2
While reading this psalm yesterday, the Lord connected something for me. How much closer can we walk in the ways of the Lord than to walk just as His Son walked? Jesus was the living, breathing manifestation of the way of God. How blessed indeed is the man whose steps imitate Christ!
"He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked." ~ 1 John 2:6
Thanks, Kenzi. I loved reading all of your verses! :) How true - it made me think of another verse: "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving." (Colossians 2:6-7)

"For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." (Colossians 2:9)
These verses from my devotions this morning really made me go back and think a couple of different things. "But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do."
First of all, there are so many times we consider so many commands to Christians to be a "good idea" or " the ideal thing to do", but not really a command, and therefore if we don't feel like doing something we neglect it. Secondly, when we do all the things that are expected of us as followers of Christ, we want to be clapped on the back, and told we doing such a good job, instead of realizing this is supposed to be the norm, and not something to be praised for.
The other verse that comes to my mind when I think of this is Romans 12:1 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."
It sure is easy to read those thoughts and not apply them, isn't it? :/ Ouch. Luke 17:10 is a verse that the Lord led me to memorize (for obvious reasons :)).
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for stopping by! I pray that you have found something that encourages you today. Thank you for taking the time to give me a little comment - they always brighten my day. :) I usually stop by and reply to as many comments as I can, but sometimes it takes me a week or so. But if you asked a question, be sure to check back!
